This past Sunday, I read Scripture from Issaiah during the morning worship service. I really wish I had this past weeks classes under my belt beforehand though. Not that I did poorly, but I think that Dr. Cherry has made several great suggestions regarding preparation for and delivery of Scripture in a public or worship setting.
I feel that I will be far better prepared in the future armed with the knowledge I now have. I learned during this practicum that it is important not only to prepare for reading Scripture, but also that the reading itself can be a means of Grace by which we can bring someone, even ourselves, closer to God.

I just absolutely enjoy this class and I have several moments where I wish I had this knowledge a long time ago.
The insight we have gained concerning scripture reading this past week has been very beneficial and helpful. I am going to have the opportunity to read scripture this Sunday, so I will try incorporate what I have learned, so far. Reading scripture, so many times, gets over-looked, but I agree with you that it can bring us and others closer to God. I hope you are finding yourself having a great week.
